NDMA Commissions are comprised of NDMA members who deliberate on issues that impact medicine, recommending policy to the NDMA Council. Any NDMA member interested in serving on a Commission may contact the NDMA office. 

Commission on Socio Economics - Addresses medical-economic issues, including insurance, third-party reimbursement and contracts, Medicare and Medicaid, and variety of other economic issues. Parag Kumar, MD, Chair

Commission on Legislation and Governmental Relations - Addresses appropriate legislation and actions of governmental agencies. Sarah Schatz, MD, Chair

Commission on Medical Education - Acts as an advocate for all levels of medical education, a liaison between the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Association, a liaison between the AMA Medical Student Section, supports the continuing medical education activities of the Association, and oversees NDMA’s CME accreditation program. Commission on Medical Services and Public Relations - Addresses public health and medical services issues and oversees NDMA public relations of NDMA, and acts as a liaison with other organizations. Shari L. Orser, MD, Chair
